The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that this month's clean-up exercise will hold on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
According to a statement signed by the SPA to the Governor on Wastes, Andreas Gebauer, the exercise will hold between seven o’clock and ten o’clock in the morning.
As usual, movement of people and vehicles during the exercise is prohibited, except those on essential services, as offenders will be prosecuted at the environmental mobile court of law.
The statement urges those that engage in sporting activities around the Okpara Square and any other location within the metropolis to postpone their sporting activities and join the clean up exercise.
Meanwhile, the Authority appeals to the general public to bag their wastes properly before disposal and ensure they pay their ESWAMA bills at any commercial bank closer to them.
