Police in Enugu State said they have arrested one Jonathan Emejulu, 66, for alleged malicious damage to a part of the perimeter fence of Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, stated this in a statement on Sunday in Enugu.
Ndukwe said that Emejulu was arrested by police operatives alongside another male suspect.
According to him, exhibits recovered from the suspects include: two pickaxes, five Monday hammers, two shovels, and reinforcement bars.
“They shall be arraigned in court and prosecuted once investigations are concluded,” Ndukwe indicated.
“Further development will be communicated on the matter,” he said.
